1. Welding:
Advantages: strong geometric adaptability, simple structure, no weakening of cross section, automatic operation, good connection tightness and high structural stiffness.
Disadvantages: high requirements for materials; local material changes easily occur in heat affected zone; welding residual stress and deformation reduce the bearing capacity of compression members; welding structure is very sensitive to cracks; low temperature cold brittleness is more prominent.
2. Riveting:
Advantages: reliable force transmission, good toughness and plasticity, convenient quality inspection and good dynamic load resistance
Disadvantages: complex structure, high cost of steel and labor
3. Ordinary bolt connection:
Advantages: convenient loading and unloading, simple equipment
Disadvantages: low precision bolt is not suitable for shearing; high precision bolt processing and installation is complex, and the price is high
4. High strength bolt connection:
Advantages: small friction shear deformation, good elastic performance, especially suitable for the structure under dynamic load. The bearing capacity of the bearing type is higher than that of the friction type, and the connection is compact
Disadvantages: the treatment and installation process of friction surface is slightly complex, and the cost is slightly high; the shear deformation of pressure bearing connection is large, so it can not be used for the structure bearing dynamic load.
